How To Self Improve And Block Out Negativity

As an introvert, I don’t have a lot of people in my circle. Honestly, it’s very peaceful and stress-free. I hardly make friends, but I’m also very friendly. I don’t have lots of friends, and I also have lots of friends. Weird? I know. As a fire sign {Aries}, I tend to go on with the flow of things and live in my little world. Having friends comes with different people’s opinions, views and ways of life. It makes you want to adjust and fit into their standards.

But today, I’m telling you, you don’t have to change yourself to fit in with anybody’s standards. But, you improve yourself, make them want to change for you. While remembering not to receive their negativity, make sure they receive your positive vibes also. There are so many pressures on the internet lately. It’s okay if you don’t want anything to do with all that. You are not weird, ‘they are ‘. Everyone deserves to find peace and a positive vibe. So, if you want to unwind differently, it’s perfectly okay.

This blog post will help you not lose your mind when people attack your mental state and peace of mind.

WAYS TO SELF IMPROVE AND BLOCK OUT NEGATIVITY

  1.  Focus on yourself and things you can control

It has been such a huge accomplishment for me throughout these past years. I had to learn this the hard way. The first thing to know when focusing on yourself is Never compare your growth with anyone else’s. Secondly, Stop fighting what’s not fighting you. It helps with depression and anxiety. Thirdly, stop trying to get what’s not within your reach. Take your time. What’s yours will be yours. The sooner you learn this, the better for you.

    2.  Don’t take things personally

To self improve and embrace positivity, you need to let that grudge go. There’s this saying- “Forgive and Forget”. As hard as it might sound, it’s necessary. It is only then you will be able to move on with your life and embrace growth. When crossed, don’t think of it too much. Just plug in your earphones and listen to relaxing music, make them wonder why you are not retaliating to their childishness. It makes you superior and not inferior.

   3. Focus on having fun

I can’t overemphasize this enough. Having fun is very underrated nowadays- This is because everyone is so focused on the future rather than enjoying the present. It’s not wrong to think of the future- it’s only disturbing when you allow that thought to consume you. You might lose it, I tell you. So have fun and enjoy your life. You only live once [YOLO}.

    4. Take a break if you need to

Sometimes, no matter what you do, no matter how you try to stay away from drama. Some people will always be hell-bent on making you angry. So take a break, Go off the internet, stay away, sleep, unwind any way you want to. Remember, you only live once. Even when working, take breaks. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy after all.

    5. Work smart and not hard

Saved the best for the last- There is a difference between working hard and smart. Working smart has over the years been the best way of working and ensuring success in whatever it is you might be doing.

There is no “special” success for people that work hard without break and self-assessment. If you are working and there is something you feel might be lacking, feel free to self reflect, look at what you might be doing wrong. This way, you are working smart and efficiently and you will be able to achieve a lot of things. At the same time, you will ensure you are not just working for working sake.

And remember to love whatever you might be doing and always protect your mental health.
